life seen thru the eyes of a neurotic 20 something gal in search of something, nothing, and everything....but not all at once...I think.

I'm a liberal!

This past week I had to do this MONSTROUS research paper for one of my internet classes. I was given an issue for which I had to discuss liberal and conservative views in american politics then relate to a political party. Don't get me wrong, I know the issues and have voted for every presidential race I was eligible for, etc. I don't think I had ever really studied what each side of the political spectrum stood for and I was pretty interested and blown away. I found out I am a liberal with some conservative beliefs but overall a liberal. My family will disown me but that's ok. Who knew?

Smiley

I went home this weekend to see my family. It was nice. No fighting. Lots of laughter and tears about dearly departed members. Smiling until my cheeks hurt. It was a nice couple of days. Sunshine and hugs.

celebration

I have stopped mid-boogey on the couch to post something significant: I got a B on my first college paper in 5 years. For holding down a crazy job and still finding the time to hammer out a paper, I think it's not so bad. I must continue the dancing....this is after all such a momentous occassion.

girl scouts rock

That wonderful time of year is upon us again. It's not spring my dear friends, it is girl scout cookie season. I love to support any kid organization. Thus, I always have random raffle tickets and over priced candy I never eat anyway cause it helped Susie Q. get her whole class a brand new set of books or something.

But girl scout cookies are different. It's this an adult craze in America of epic proportions. You can never get them any other time of year and never from anyone but a true blue girl scout. Trust me.....it is worth the wait. I see people walking out with cases, people, cases, of cookies. I got my order of cookies today. Oh, heaven....sweet, sweet heaven. Who knew shortbread cookies with a chocolate covered bottom could be so amazing? Added bonus this year...the cookies had "thank you" baked on them in different languages. Genius. Now I can eat and learn at the same time:)
